2010 IDOS Elections Nomination Form

All,

Attached is page 19 from the most recent edition of the Dutch Oven news. It is a Nomination Form for the upcoming IDOS elections. This form is to nominate an IDOS president for 2010 to 2012 and for Regions 2, 4 and 6. The nomination period ends 15 November.

IDOS Election News
In 2010, the President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and the Regional Director from the even numbered regions are elected. The 2010 election period is as follows:

Election Timeline:
Nomination period (see instructions below[in attachment]): October 1,2009 - November 15,2009
Campaigning period: November 15,2009 - February 28,2010
Voting period: March 1, 2010 - April 2, 2010 (The voting form will be sent out in the Spring newsletter.)
Voting forms must be returned to the election committee by 2 April 2010. .
Winners will be announced at the 2010 Spring Convention membership meeting, on the IDOS website, and in the summer newsletter.

Nomination Instructions:
• Copy or cut out the form below [attached] and fill it out.
• Make the selection for the office the nominee will be running for.
• Fill in the nominee's information.
• Get the supporting signatures from other IDOS members. Note: One signature per membership. Remember: IDOS memberships are family memberships, therefore; only one signature per family.
• President and Vice-President run together on the same ticket. Treasurer runs independent. Fifteen signatures for seconds are needed for nomination.
• Regional Directors need three signatures for seconds.
• Send the nominations with signatures to [see form]

Last election we had the option of voting by email. Do you know if this will again be the case next year?

Good question Derek. The answer is yes, nominations and elections can be made by mail. Take a look at the PDF attached to my post and it will offer all the details.
