Area Realignment for 2012--Completed!!!!

Here is the approved Area Realignment for 2012.

Elections will be held for Areas 2-4-6-8
Dawn Mills will go from 3-5 (number change)
Bill Ryan will go from 5-7 (number change)

The Board of Directors will appoint Area 1 and 3 for a one year term in accordance to the by-laws.

Area 1 (108 members) – ID(32), OR(31), WA (31), AK(13), HI,
Area 2 (131 members) – CA(127), Members located outside USA and Canada (4)
Area 3 (74 members) – MT(17) ,WY(10), CO(21) ,ND(2), SD(20) , Western Canada(5),
Area 4 (121 members) – UT(107), NV(14)
Area 5 (94 members) – AZ(33), NM(5), TX(35), OK(16), KS(5)
Area 6 (99 members) – , IA(15), IL(16), IN(4), KY, WI(12), MI(19), MO(11),NE(7) ,MN(15)
Area 7 (102 members) – AL(3), AR(13), FL(25), GA(14), LA(9), MS(12), NC(12), SC(8), TN(16)
Area 8 (98 members) – CT(5), DE(1), MA(3), MD(3), ME, NH(1), NJ(3), NY(20), PA(13), OH(18), RI(1), VA(7), VT, WV(4), Eastern Canada(9)

OK... So the breakdown at the beginning of this thread is not correct & we need to refer to the visual map on the home page? This thread is actually not up to date?? I was just checking because the main page referred me here...hmmm. Has this already been inacted or voted on or whatever is the procedure. I was just checking the site to see what was up. I am in TN so we are now Area #7 not #5?

Yes Cheryl, TN is now in Dist. 7. We still have Bill as our District Rep.

The new areas go into affect in April 2012. Folks in the new areas for 2-4-6-8, will nominate and vote for a new representaive this election. So if you are going from an odd number to even number area, you should be considering who you want to represent your area on the Board of Directors.
Nominations start Nov 1-Dec 31
Campaign starts Jan 1-31
Voting states Feb 1-29

Noticed that our chapter Rogue Dutch Oven Cookers isn't listed in "chapters", and that there isn't a "pin" on the map indicating a chapter in southern Oregon. What gives?
